Problem B Grill Assembly

So close to completing restoration but so far away!

The holes in the grill do not line up with the holes in the top tank and pedestal. The holes in the top tank and pedestal are too far apart - about 3/8".

In addition, the medalion will not fit. Hood seems okay as the air stack, muffler, and radiator fuller neck are centered but the holes in the hood and medalion do not line up.

The grills are replacements (used)but the same as the originals. Note that I have completely disassembled the tractor. The radiator was removed as well as the pedestal.

I don't know how to solve this problem. Very, very frustrating and discouraging.

Any suggestions?

Hey ken, This is probably not the problem but I just had my radiator off and everything that goes along with it. Went to reassemble the beast and the bolts on the sides didn't line up and everything looked fine muffler wise. Then I noticed that I had the hose clamps for the upper radiator tube on top instead of on the bottom and they were propping the gas tank up. Caused all holes to be misaligned. Might be something to check. My 2cents.
