I have a 720. Just recently purchased a Jd 4-14 mounted plow. How far do you run the rear wheel out? I used to help my dad adjust our 4020 wheels out, I just did as I was told. Didn't pay attention to what I was doing. I now wish I would of paid more attention.

Thanks

Arnie:

If you have an operator's manual for your 720, there is LOT in information in it on how to set up a plow.

Now, without re-typing too much from the manual which explains how you calculate the centerline of draft, etc, your 4-14" has a centerline of draft of 31 1/2", so from the hitchpoint of the drawbar (having it locked right on center is best), the inside of your furrow tire should be 31 1/2" from the drawbar hitchpoint.

So, if you have the drawbar pinned right in the middle of the darawbar support, measure 31 1/2" from the tractor centerline slot in the battery box to the inside surface of your right tire.
