Howdy! I'm looking to get my first JD tractor. Looking for live pto, 3 point, 40-50 horsepower. Anyone know what a good used one would cost? Thanks!

WE bought a 1970 mdl, 1520 for $6,000. It has 4 new tires, good sheet metal. We looked for a long time. not many 1520's for sale. It is the perfect tractor for bailing hay and any basic farm work. We are still looking for a loader for it. Don't jump at the first tractor you find, you can find some good deals if you do some networking.

THE 60,620,630,70 would fall in this range if you want a two-cylinder. Prices would start around $1500 and go to $7500 bepending on what you want. The 720-730 would be just to the mid-50HP range and priced maybe $2500 and up. I sure would take a look at them. Expect to spend some money on them if you buy at the low end of the price range. If you want something other than 2-cyl. someone else can better help you. Happy Deere Hunting.

A 620 or 630 would meet the specs. you posted.
Both are great tractors the 620 costing between
$2700 and $3500 depending on condition and location. The 630 would probably be around $1000
more also depending. Good luck with your search.
Check out the photo adds to get some ideas also.
