I have a 3020 with single hydraulics. How can I convert to dual ? Is it for a newbie or better left to a mechanic.
thanks

A late model (one with control levers next to right fender) is easier. Either can be done by any one any mechanical aptitude. Early models you will need to raise the hood and bolt on the second valve box(selective control valve). you will need longer bolts and new packings to go between housings. You will need the extra lever and linkage(just remove the spacer already there). Bolt on the couplers on the back. Here you have two options: you can remove the switch panel and the operators platform and route the steel lines from the couplers up past the steering valve to the scv, or have hydraulic hoses made to replace the steel lines. Best thing to do is to look at one that already has two scv's. I prefer to use original equipment, but some opt for the hoses for easier installation. Late models are pretty self explanitory. Good Luck!

Thanks it is a 1967 model Half of what you said is greek to me. Does that mean I just replace a cylinder on the block and add to more outlets and then run control lever up to cab? As it is a console.
thanks

If it is a 1967 model, then it is an early model. Also, a cab makes the job harder for lack of space.
