I have a 3010 D with 24 V system that has stoped charging. I have an IT manual but it is of little help. Anyone have diagnostic procedure to find out what the problem is. The Gen light comes on solid, no flickering, no change with RPM.

Thanks

Lynn

Re: jd 200 series cultivator restoration question in reply to jubilee johnny, 05-16-2006 06:30:16
I don't know if they were for sure ? I have seen them this way. Some of the researchers at 2 cyl.mag. may know.

I know what you mean about that yellow I never liked it over used either. But lately ( I'm older now eyes aren't as sharp ) I have come to use it to high light my numbers on the gear shift tower because I have so many different tractors with different patterns and seem to be loading and moving them at night time and it sure helps to know for sure which gear I'm in. I now see this as more of a safety issue I guess ?

 Re: Do you prefer a 51 MT or a 58 420W in reply to Dan V, 01-22-2007 16:13:10
I have a 51 MT, not wide front, and a 430(420 with face lift) I prefer the 430 though I use both. 430 or 420 has more power, 420 hs standard 3 point, not a modified lift, 420 has more hydraulic power. you can get on and off the 420 without a ladder and/or falling on your face. On the other hand the mt is higher off the ground. I would think the MT with wide front would be more "rare" than the 420. Guess it depends upon what you want to do with it. Use it or show it. For a user I would pick the 420.

Check voltage regulator. Also consider converting to 12v.
