What is recommended as the best stop leak product (brand/type)for use in an old two-cylinder tractor (1950 B)?

Is there a recommended brand of anti-freeze?

Have had good luck with JB (Justice Brothers) Radiator stop-leak. Try to use that stuff on when I have to. Probably no water pump on that tractor so you'll have to give it a good workout and get it up to temp before the stop leak will circulate throughout the system.

Conklin has a great product call DIKE, once had a JD A with a hole in the radiator. The leak was very noticable, could actually see the water trickle out, poured in a can of dike, ran for a half hour and the leak was gone. Was a believer ever since and I don't sell the stuff either. chris matthies

I have had good results with Bars Leak in newer cars as well as older tractors. You can get at most places that sell auto parts.

I pamper mine with the non silicate antifreeze stuff and distilled water.

Have had good luck with a product called Block Seal. Auto Zone and Discount Auto Parts carry it.
