Loaned a friend of mine my 1010 JD.It came back with a bent hydrolic cylinder that tilts the bucket, took it to the JD store they told me that they could not find it on a JD loader that they thought it was a Staggers loader. To have it straightened and rebuilt was going to be 600$ seems a little much to me.Would like to know if anyone knows where to get used cylinders or where to get it fixed a lot cheaper. I live in Spokane Wa.

I assume it is the chrome rod that is bent. How bent is it? I have a friend who had a cylinder rod that was just slightly bent. Took it to an old-time craftsman type machinist, one of those who aren't out to make a ton of money just like the work. He carefully fixtured it up on his press and CAREFULLY pushed it back in to shape. Cost? $10 What do you have to loose??

Lanny, have you tried a good machine shop? we use to order chromed shaft and duplicate the factory shaft. about 2 hours labor if you remove the rod and piston. good luck

Lanny, not sure what type cylinder but would think you could get another similar one at a hydraulics supplier. You could also take it apart and and get someone with a large press to straighten the ram, but it will probably bend again in the same place. other option would be to hit a salvage yard, would think you would have one in spokane, there is one down by washtucna, Draper Tractor Parts www.drapertractor.com. good luck on it. I'm in Ellensburg, Wa. spennt soem time in Spokane when going to WSU some years ago. Ever hear of the Kon-Tiki?
