Does anyone have information on anyone having the ability to put a 7 1/2 in bore in a stock G John Deere block? If it can be done, will it hold up to the compression ratios of a pulling tractor?

You may want to consider doing a port job to your head, manifold, and carb. The air going through a stock carb. goes sonic at the equivalent of 478 RPM (Nascar restricter plate). The manifold and head ports are not much better. This explains the reason why two cylinder deeres have good lug down.

I made a gasket template of the huge block and placed it on the crankcase opening.Scribed around the template and ground my @#$%^ off till it fit.
I split the tractor and rolled the whole front out of my way.
It can break your heart how much you have to grind away ,the side walls are very thin and on some you have to make the cam gear 1/2inch wide.
7.875 o.d x 2= 15.750.

You know he will. The block is 16" wide. 7.5x2=15. That does that leave water in the water jacket?
