I know this question has more than likely been asked in the past, and I appologize for the repeat, but what were the original rear factory round spokes on a '35 B? Were they F&H? Was there more than one manufacturer? Can someone give me a part # so I can posatively identify?

thanks!

Gary

Yes they were F & H. Casting number HC177. I don't know of anyone else that made round spokes. Most of the wheels made for the unstyled B were 36 inch. A few were 28 inch.

This is the first time I have heard of 28" as original equipment. My '35 has flat spoke cut offs that have had 28" rims welded on them. I always thought that someone did it much later. Maybe they are more close to the times than I thought. At this time I am planning on leaving them on, tires hold air pretty good and are in fair shape. Maybe some day, I will buy a set of cutoff's or round spokes and put on, though I am not sure I would like to part with the money.
