Is it a 1010 or not? It runs on gas.

I've had my trusty John Deere for 7 years now and it came with it's original manual. I bought it from a friend for $4500.00 Canadian dollars and he told me it was a 1010 Gas utility. I've had people drive by and see it and ask to buy it and the discussion is what is it, really? I'm convinced it's what I bought it as. I use it regularly around my horse farm and it's never missed a beat. It suffered Tractor Abuse a few years ago but I don't let anyone else borrow it anymore. It has a 3-point, PTO, front hydraulics with a bucket,( that seems to be an addition.) I added a roll bar/roof combination and set the rear tires out fairly wide to stabilize it as I bounce around the pastures. It has about 800lbs of calcium in the back tires. There's a John Deere tractor nut around here that offers to buy it nearly every time I see him, but we still disagree about the value and what it is. It has a wide front base, the exhaust is on the left hand side of the cover just like the book shows. I haven't been able to find another one around here and the tractor guys don't remember seeing very many of them. Can anyone help.I don't want to sell it, I rely on it too much, but I'd like to put an end to the question. Also I wonder why these guys always want to buy it? It is in good shape with all the parts, no body damage and runs like a charm. I've probably put on about 1500 hours in 7 years and it wasn't used much when I bought it. Anybody out there have an answer for me? Thanks in advance. Lorna. (p.s. women like tractors too!)

Lorna: John Deere built a lot of 1010 tractors. They were made in about ten different types, in gas and diesel. There were 2110 gas UTILITY tractors built. ROW CROP UTILITY, SINGLE ROW CROP, and SPECIAL ROW CROP UTILITY were a lot more common, so your tractor is somewhat collectable in that regard. That is why those guys want it. If they get really crazy and offer you more for it than a newer, better tractor like say a 1020 or 2020 would cost, then you could start thinking about selling, but I think you should keep it.
