Hello,

I have a 41-B with flat spoke rear wheels. It has some 2-3 inch hairline cracks around the hubs which bolt onto the axle. I may have cracked them when I put new tires on recently.

I think these are cast, is welding an option?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks Tim

Where are the cracks at. Are they on the ears that are on the axle or up higher on the hub? I have seen some welded up on the hub. If it is on the ears it's not a good idea to weld them. I have seen some adapter hubs that bolt on where the ears are. They bolt on after the ears are gone and look good also. Let us know more info on this.
