I have a John Deere 3020 tractor that apparently came out of the factory with a power front wheel drive. It is a 2 speed front wheel drive that is hydraulicly driven. It is syncronized with the rear tires in 3rd. and 5th. gear, I think. I currently have a regular wide front end under the tractor but have everything to put the power front wheel drive back underneath the tractor. I am needing to find out how many of these 3020's were buildt. What would the market value be for a tractor like this? I have not seen many around, so is this something that John Deere did not make many of? The serial # is T113R 157489R. It has about 5000 hours on it. It currently has a J.D. 148 loader on it also. If you have any information about this type of tractor please email me. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You!!

neighbor sold a 4020 last summer w/ the hyd assist front. Serial # said it was made the final day they made 4020, 3rd from last. It had a year a round cab on it and a 148 loader. It had been beaten nearly to death. It was purchased by a collector soley because of the ser #. 13,000$

PFWD was introduced on the 4020 and 3020 in 1968. They were supposed provide up to 20% more boost in traction. I don't think the idea sold very well with farmers because like you said you don't see very many of them around. Somewere around 100,000 to 120,000 3020s were built. There weren't very many 3020s around here in north central Montana so I don't get a chance to see one often.
