Got a question for you guys. What was the "long frame B" used for and what would be the advantage over a regular B. Also, why is a 520 longer than a 620? I would think that this would be just the opposite.
Any information appreciated.

The frame on the later unstyled B's was lengthened so both the A and B tractors could use the same cultivators. No idea on the 520 question.

Short frames not made long.520 OVERALL length is 132.75 inches while the 620 OVERALL length is 135.25 inches. Some 520s had a brace on rear of frame while the 620 didnt.John Deere got away from the pressed steel frames because they were bad about breaking. The 520s and 620s have the older style frameworking Deano
