Does anyone know what kind of muffler can be used on the pony motor exhaust?

Dave,
I have some used original mufflers for the 820-830 ponies and I think they are the same as the 720-730 ponies.

Deere sells an effective muffler unit. A pup engine sounds pretty cool but requires earplugs without a muffler. Actualy ear pluggs anytime on machinery is a good idea. How many old timers respond with "huh"?

Thanks for the warning. I was thinking of removing mine when I put it back together, since it doesn't fit very tight in the manifold.

First you gotta change your handle, Ha!
Ok my 70d has a nice factory muffler bout' the size of a large grapefruit My 730d has a straight pipe and to tell the truth, their isn't a whole lot of differance in the sound. Course the wife says I have "selective hearing" what ever that means. the exhaust travels through the heat exchanger so it realy isn't un muffled persay. hope this helps George
