I just got my G(serial no.53891)home and noticed there is lots of play in my clutch drive disc splines.I have not had time to remove it to see how bad it is but is there an easy cure or does the crank and all have to come out?It sure does run good and I hate to tear it down if I can help it.Thanks Jack(TN).

BigJ, tear it down & see what you have. If it is just loose & the crank is not all torn up or butchered by the previous owner there are undersized spline drive disks available from a couple of vendors.

I bought a replacement clutch disk from Denglers for my "A." You don't have a lot of choices. Call Dengler and talk to them about yours. They are in business to sell parts, but they seemed knowledgable and straight to me. Mine fit exactly, but they will tell you how to measure and make one fit yours. You gott'a want it, because they are fairly expensive, but I had no choice: I couldn't build up the splines with a welder (not good enough); and there is no new crankshaft available for an "A".
