How good are the hydraulics on the 4010's up to the 4450's Ive heard bad about them. will you still have power stering when using a hydraulic implement on a 4440 or 4450? Im looking at buying a realy nice 4440 with power shift thats why im asking this question.

I've heard of people having trouble with these tractor running hydraulic motors hooked up to the remote circuits. The proplem was overheating of the hydraulic oil. The solution is to add a power beyond circuit to the system and a direct return to the system.

some early problems were incurred with the 4010 but the jd system is pretty good.they are designed to give priority to the steerig and brakes.I have seen a loss of steering in a quad range but not a powershift

the 4010 up to even the 30 series was a little short of hydraulics on heavy loads, don't think it affected steering or brakes though. Think the later ones after the 30s had more hydraulic power. I know we also had trouble holding adjustments to hydraulic system on the 20 and 30 series.
