is it power shift or synchro???? If it is a synchro try spraying some WD40 down the slots by the shifting lever, and moving the lever around.

I have a 3020 and a 4020, both synchro. I normaly spay mine up 3 to 4 times a year depending on how much snow and rain it has been exposed to. If it is really hard to shift, it may take putting it on 2 or 4 times to work well. Hope it helps.

Sometimes when they don't go into gear, it's not the linkage... there is no cables to spray wd 40 on, only on the powershifts, what happens is on the syncro's is the shifter forks wear adn allow the syncronizers to seperate a hair which causes it to be hard to shift, and eventually it'll just make a grinding noise after a period of time
