A friend of mine has a 4010 and it will not raise the 3 pt very high. The arms are screwed all the way to the up position too. The draft setting is on 'L', and the hydraulic fluid is totally full and clean (freshly changed). Have not looked under the dash at the linkage yet. Is there anything else for adjustment? Didn't find anything in the manual. Any help would be appreciated.

It is very likely to be a linkage problem. Make sure the linkage sheath is not broken, is properly installed and anchored at both ends and the cable is moving the lever on the hydraulic housing its full distance. I believe the internal adjustment the other post is referring to is the draft control sensitivity adjustment. I had much this same trouble with a 4020. Also the draft control setting lever didn't seem to move through all three positions unless I moved the control lever on the dash. Turned out to be the diferential gears in the control valve body were out of time. Timed them properly & adjusted the draft control sensitivity and now it works great. An IT manual explains this all quite well. Good luck.

checking the linkage could solve the problem, or there is a adjustment that is inside the top part of the tranny. I have seen it adjusted, but have no Idea how to do it exactly and how far th adjust it. One piece of advice for anyone trying to adjust this is to make sure your sockets hook togeather really tight or even weld them togeather so you don't lose one inside the tranny..
