Thanks,

Karl, I pull a 24T with my 1954 50 and does quite well. As you know the 50 took the place of the model B and the 50 only has a few more horse power than the B. Where I bale the ground is flat - it might struggle a little going up hill in rolling ground though. Good luck.

Karl,
It would be a load for the old B but If you have a
even windrow and take it slow it might work. No
matter how you do it, it will give you a shaking. I've baled with a 60 and a 24T. It will wear out
a drawbar if you dont have a good pin.

Reason I ask is I am getting a 24t to add to my collection... the farmer who currently bales for us uses either a 60 or a 520 to bale, they don't have a problem but I was wondering if my B could handle it.

Thanks!

Karl

Can you get him to throw one of the tractors in with the deal? That would be sweet wouldn't it?

We had a '52 B and a 14-T baler. The B, with it's 1250 rpm, ran the baler even more steadily than our '49 A (975 rpm). A really heavy windrow was a little dicey, but it was a good combination.

Can't comment on a 24T - don't know much about those newfangled machines.
