I believe my 41 H needs a new clutch. Anyone out there ever put one in? I have plenty of tools and jacks. What all is involved in doing this? Thanks.

I don't believe that you need to split the tractor. You should be able to get to it by taking off the bottom cover and possibly the belly pump. I think you can reach up in there and disconnect the driveshaft on the back end. Then take it out. Then reach up in there and disconnect the pressure plate and there you are. However I don't know if you can get the flywheel out this way if it needs surfaced. It should come out but I've never done it.

Tractor must be split. Need device to roll one part of tractor forward or back. Can be done a few wrenches and 1/2 drive socket set. The H has a bolt hidden inside the starter housing that must be removed before the split will happen.

I think you can do it without splitting the tractor. Guys in the Farmall board would be happy to help. Good thing you have a sweet purring Farmall and not one of those two cylinder noise makers. BTD

And you probably think Japaneese bikes sound better than Harley's too.

Would those Japanese bikes be Yanmars like the new John Deeres?
