what are the model numbers for the "2" and "3" bottom mounted plows, that were sold with the john deere 420 and 430, from 1956-1960? where have they all gone? does anyone know of one for sale? thanks.

I dug out some old brochures on the mounted plows. One, from 06/56, shows a No. 810 plow in 2, 3, and 4 bottom versions for the 520, 620 and 720 tractors.

Another brochure, dated 09/58, shows a 1 bottom No. 411, 2 bottom No. 415 and 3 bottom No. 416. There is a picture of a 430 using a 2 bottom No. 415.

I saw a 3 bottom JD mounted plow this fall just north of Abingdon, Virginia. Can't remember the highway number but could look it up if you want - just depends on where you are and how far you'd want to travel looking for one.

I have a #412 plow. It is a 2x14" mounted plow. The 3 bottom plow had a slightly different number.
The paint is gone, the model number is what I remember, it is not for sale, and I have observed several plows like that here in SE Iowa at auction in the past year or two. According to magazine articles in a magazine called REVIEW which is not published any more, it is the matched plow for a 420. They sold for $100 to $300 at the auctions I attended. Jim
