What type of tools (pullers, bearing spreaders, etc) will I need to rebuild my '38 B governor? What's the best place to buy them?

David, I had to put new bearings and the bevel gear on my 38 B governor and the main thing we needed and used was a huge hydraulic press to remove and reinstall the press fit bevel gear etc. Pullers with bearing seperators behind them (to hold the race) may also be needed, but most of what I remember involved pressing the shaft out of and then back into the gears etc. Be sure and rematch and shim and align and set proper backlash on the fan shaft bevel gears (fan shaft and governor), because otherwise they will whine big time. If the pins through the weights are worn, also replace them. Ol John T
