I would like to research a BR serial number 327740. Mine has an orchard hood and orchard air intake. I suspect these where a factory option, although I would like to confirm that if possible.
Any information on researching serial numbers would be helpful.
Thanks, Allen Heilner

Allen, after I sent you a link to another site yesterday, I noticed that on the page I'm looking at, and presumably you are too, on the left side is a heading called Research & Info. Under that is an option called "serial numbers". When I clicked there I came to a site that says yours is a 1937. Hope this helps. Gary Myers

I have a 1945 BO tractor that has the same hood and air intake, I think you need to check to see what type of brakes you have because BO tractors have brakes on each and I think the BR tractor has only 1 brake more like a D tractor.

Allen--They started making the BO/BR model in 36 at ser#325000. Then started 37 at ser#326655, then 38 at ser#328111. So I believe it's a 37. luckydog

Allen, you may very well have an "orchard model" but you certainly are talking about a very early production BR with that low serial #. Most likely 2nd year of manufacturing.
