We are buying a 41 B.. should be picking it up in the AM.. (This will be the first B for us.) I have a question about the Power Trol.. This 41 has the pedals and the lift is either all the way up or all the way down. Can a later styled contol valved be installed with the lever?? Is there some conversion?? (what else might have to be replaced?) I have seen some conversion kits in the parts book for G's but not sure what they are for.. but this is for a B??

I never looked but are the power trol valve between different tractor enough.. will they fit between different models???

Thanks for any help..

JDGnut, what you have is a Power Lift this is different from the Power Trol in just the was you have said, it is either up or down. There was a conversion kit available to make it selective, my GM has one on it,the pedals were removed and replaced with a lever like the power trol. But it is easier to just find a power trol box and bolt it on, earlier ones used the shear washer type hose connection later ones used a break away type. Look in a parts book for the whole story. Good Luck. Bob

I have a 45 GM that has been updated to the newer "adjustable" hyd. If you wanted to trade even up for mine and split the shipping, I'd like to put mine back to original. Mike in NY

Hi JDGnut, Any powr-trol from a B to a 70 will fit your B. The pressures are adjustable to the tractor. You will just need the mounting gasket, and it should work. Don
