I still know very little about John Deere, so you will allow me at least one rookie question?
Was the John Deere H ever made with a wide front end? Or has anyone seen an H so equipped?
Thank you for your help.

Thank you all for your responses.
I would certainly love to have an H with WFE, because they look better than NFE's and are more stable. Since very few seem to be available in the US, I might as well give up looking for one in The Netherlands (W. Europe) where I live. Even a NFE John Deere H is a rarity here.
Does anyone know what it costs to ship a small tractor from the US across the Atlantic?
Best Regards, Turning Green.

I saw a 41 model H sell at an auction about 2 weeks ago. It had a wide front but I was told it was not original. The tractor had fresh paint and it ran good. It only brought 2,100.00 I've got that much in my 39 and I haven't heard a pop out of it yet. LOL

John Deere made the H in three basic models: H (dual narrow front); HN (single front wheel); HNH (single front wheel and higher crop clearance); and HWH (wide front and higher crop clearance). According to what I've read, most of the HWH's went out west for use on tall bedded crops. Perhaps another reader could shed more light on where and what crops.

Oops - that would be four basic models, not three.

Turning Green, sure did. If you had one now it would be worth quite a bit as they only made a few. If you want the exact number let me know & I will look it up. Most of the HWs are in the hands of collectors now, there are a few left out there but not many.
