I see some of the old 2 cylinder tractors with Yellow seats and some with black. What is right? When did they change colors etc.?

When you bought a new 20 or 30 series 2 cylinder you had your choice of black or yellow when you ordered the tractor. If you have one of these tractors put on whatever color trips your trigger. I'm not sure about the first numbered series. Lettered series were probably just available in black.

I wasn't aware that the 20 Series buyers had the choice of black or yellow cushions, but I do know (been there, sat on that) that the first numbered series (50, 60, 70, etc.) had black seat cushions.

I had a black one before but my JD 50LP has a nice
new yellow seat. Much more comfortable in the East TX sun!
