I was told antifreeze and the brass tubes don't get along. So I don't run it, but dumping the water all the time is fun. Can I change the tubes to copper or another material that is compatible to antifreeze?

I bought new tubes for different tractors and some came from John Deere as Brass and others looked more like steel but not sure what they were made of? I always flush thoroughlly and refill with fresh 50/50 anti freeze and water and add a couple cans of that anti rust lubricant and dont expect the new tubes (with at least every 3 yrs or so of flush and fresh refills) to go bad hopefully in my remaining lifetime as the old ones lasted like over 50 years. Will, I don't know who told you anti-freeze & brass doesn't get along, but obviously they haven't heard of brass in radiators, heater cores & water pumps of cars & trucks. Of course it gets along with brass, just change it every couple of years.
