My Pop had a 1952 B that I have been trying to get for years and he never would sell it because it was worth a million to him and I said if it was worth that much it shouldn't be in the condition that it was in and we worked out a deal. It has been bored to .045 and was worked long and hard sence then. What is a normal cost to have the block punched out to the next size up? Just because the value of the tractor is a million doesn't mean that I have the cashflow to match it. A buddy said he new a guy that could do it cheaper than anyone, and we all have been down that bumpy road.

By the time I had my 70 block bored and bought the new pistons it tore the heck out of 700.00 dollars. You might look at the cylinders and if they don't have much scarring or a deep ring groove, you could probably get by with honing the cylinders and a new set of rings.Good luck.

Al,

By the time you find and purchase .090 over pistons and rings, you might be better to have the block sleeved back to .045 or even standard.

Check with a couple of machine shops as the price can vary considerably.

Good luck.
