I need to replace the hydraulic line that runs to the pump behind the left side frame-rail on my 4020. Do I need to support the tractor someway before I loosen the frame-rail enough to install the new line?

Thanks for the help

Good luck getting the fittings broke loose by the pump. Mine were rusted and there isnt much room to get a wrench in.

If I remember right, place a jack and block under the oil pan, and just jack it enough to put a slight bind on everything. It isn't that big a deal. If the fittings are real tight, which they will be, take a punch and hit the flats of the hex, and they will come off easier. Also, if I remember right, the frame rails should be torqued to 400 Lb. Ft., as the bolts are special tapered head ones.

5/8" bolts should be tightened to 275 ft/lb. retighten after a few hours of use.
