I remember someone mentioning a kit to get live hydraulics on the older 2 cylinders that don't have them. I would like to get live hydraulics for my John Deere B. How much would this cost me? Is it an easy thing to change?

Thanks,

Karl

Get a copy of a parts book and it will show all the plumbing and parts you need. I'm also told you can get a copy of the service bulletin about the live hydraulic setup from Green Magazine. The steel block-off / spacer plate you need is available from Craig Fiedler ([email protected]) in Minnesota. Hope this helps.

Hello, I bought one off YT auction for 150 dollers. It goes between the govener and the mag.
You have to plumb it into powerlift or powertrol.
Somewhere in the archives is someone who told how to modify the powertrol or lift. I talked to one guy at a show and he told me to remove the idler gear out of the powerlift or tol pump because the two running will blow up the powertrol or lift pump. He learned the hard way. There is a clutch to turn the pump on and off. Mine was missing and Deere still had the parts. Good luck.
