Any ideas on where to start on my John Deere 620gas tractor. It starts ok with the choke out and to stay running the choke has to be out. Runs a little better when it warms up and I can push the choke in about halfway. Ill let it run when its warmed up with the choke pushed in all the way and it will die after a couple of minutes.Any help will be welcomed thank you

Bill, it sounds like you either have a vacuum leak or a partially plugged idle passage. Use a propane tourch (unlit) & go around the gaskets & manifold & see if you can find a vacuum leak, if all ok then suspect the carb idle circuit(s). I presume you have tried riching up the idle mixture screw, if so does it have any effect?
