5020 hydraulics

my 5020 will loose steering and brakes just for a moment. I was then chopping corn and then pto just quit, few minutes later started woking good enough to make the engine smoke. the hyd. oil is full. has been doing this off and on for a few months.

have you checked your transmission screen...they will stop up and starve your front pump...the one with thw 4430 has to be on suction...had 2840 with line broke and starved front pump..pto worked hi lo worked..just wondering have nice day

it is important to know what transmission you have,but in the meanwhile,a friend had a 4430 with a hole in the pickup tube and when the oil fell below the hole it would lose hydraulics momentarily. add a little more oil and see if the problem stops.
