You could mount 34 " diam rims but it sounds like you need more power. My G can usually run 4th gear in the 5500 with 18-4-38"s and spin them when I'm done.

Oxygen bearing fuel such as methanol will boost power by allowing more BTU's of heat and enough oxygen to support complete combustion per cycle.Cooler and denser fuel/air mixture for more power as methanol absorbs alot of heat during vapourization. Nasty corrosive unless everything is stainless or pour in before pulling and drain/flush after. Will knock every bit of dirt loose and absorb water. Fuel flow will have to be increased about 230% if used pure. Next is hydrazine but it's expensize and corrosize as an angry womens tongue. Don't breath the fumes or get it on your skin either. Fuel flow needs to increased 355% over gasoline rate if used pure. Needs to be blended with methanol or sometimes gasoline. Octane rating is dismal and requires methanol or racing gasoline to blend with.

Was thinking of nitromethane on last post but said hydrazine. Had been working with the nasty stuff that day and it must have been still on my mind. It's reserved for the most desperate cheaters and the risks are too great.

I was going to say that the 720 has a creeper in it, 1.5 mph as compared to the G's 2.5 mph, but the more I think about, that can't be achieved by simply changing the the 1st & 2nd gear ratio. In these transmissions, if you changed that ratio, reverse wouldn't work. The whole transmission is slower, ex. 6th gear in a G is 12.5 mph and in a 720 its 11.5 mph. My guess is that they change either the initial drive ratio, or the differental + 1st & 2nd gear ratios.
