Recently you instructed me on changing the rims on my model H. You said I needed 3/8 x 1/2 inch rivets. Where can I get these? I got one wheel apart now and would like to get it put together before I dismantle the other. Thanks

Frank, the last wheels I did I had to cut down 3/8 X 1" to 3/8 X 1/2". "Correct Connection" @ 814-936-2777 has 3/8 x 1" & 3/8 X 5/8", you might be able to use the 3/8 x 5/8" or you can cut down the 1" to 1/2". I drilled a hole in a piece of 1/2" steel then put the rivet through then put it on the band saw to cut to length. You might be able to put the 5/8" through a piece of 1/2" steel & take the grinder to the end that sticks through.

Thanks for the info. After I posted this I did a little more research. Since I work in the parts dept of a JD dealership, I have access to their computers. I came up with a JD part number for the 3/8 x 1/2 inch rivet. It's 16H1290. They list for 15 cents apiece. I'll be ordering some tomorrow. I hope this will help you or anyone else that is doing this sort of project.
