3020 with a noisy hydraulic pump!

Replaced my hydraulic pump several years ago because of a cracked pump body with a rebuilt unit from CT. Worked good after that. However, this year it has become very noisy, but everything works (brakes, steering, draft arms, power lock-up). No visible leaks anywhere. Every so often it gets quiet, but not for long. Changed the filter and put in new Hy-Gard (oil level was okay) just to make sure pump wasn't starving. Still acts the same. Any ideas out for what to look for? Or is this really a problem? Thanks!

is the noise stopping whenever you load the pump?(turning the steering or raising the hitch)
if so, you have a problem with the pump drive.

Like David said, check the drive, usually it just means that the pump couplers are worn and need to be replaced. The couplers are the 2 piece of Alumumin, with the rubber bushings in them.. Sometimes you can get by with just replacing the bushing, other times you have to replace the Alumumin parts too. This should not be a very expensive fix. Good luck.

Thanks for the replies; I'll check it out as you have suggested. I hope you are right and the replacement parts reasonable.

Thanks again to everyone.
