I have a 71 modle 3020 gas with the side console, I just reworked the whole tractor top to bottom myself. This tractor is flawless and strong, I pull a 10' disc with 22" cutters and a 5 bottom pan plow. I would not trade the gas bunner for the difference in a diesel.

Many 3010/3020's were gas hogs compaired to thier diesel sisters. If the tractor price is right, hours used are low then a few extra dollars for fuel will be made up. You will have to burn alot of fuel to make up the difference in purchase price. It can be like the people who pay $20,000 to trade up a more fuel efficient vehicle but loose in the long run when they only save $20.00 a week. A single updraft carburator feeding a log style manifold on a multicylinder engine cannot keep some cylinders from always being too rich and others too lean. The compression was low even for gasoline engines and gasoline has fewer BTU's per pound than diesel. Plus a post 1960 Waterloo gas are getting rair.
