Style JD G low gear

I am into tractor pulling, and I have noticed that my tractor seems slower coming down the track than a couple other G's which have the factory low gear. Same tires, same rpms, but mine is slightly slower. When I bought the tractor, two of the transmission gears had been replaced (although I'm not sure which ones). Is it possible that a gear from something else was put in if first gear was one that was replaced. I'm shooting in the dark here. I don't know if any other gears are compatible or if this one accidentally ended up with a slower one or what. I am going to try to find out which of those gears were replaced. Thanks,

720s had a creeper low gear, 1.25mph, the standard low for a G was 2.5mph. I'm not sure that the 720 gears will fit in a G, but Deere tended on to change designs in a family of tractors.
