transmission to handle 54 inch pto driven rototiller. The tiller is rated for a 22 hp tractor. also I would use a 6' mower bushhog with it. I had been looking for a 420 and thought that it would be perfect for these things.
The man selling it says that it is more of a good show tractor but I want to use it.

Thanks,

Mark

I have to agree with the seller. Most of the 420's are high priced because there are few of them around. I just tried to buy one that needed a new hydraulic pump and it sold for $3900. Needless to say I would use the tractor for shows, but that is just my opinion.

I have a '56 420W which I use regularly for brush-hogging (5')and disc work. Other than a thirst for fuel, the ol' girl's been reliable and has plenty of power. Yes, parts are not cheap (but no more expensive than the parts I bought for my MF 35 a few years ago).

What is quite amazing is that a 420 will cost about 4500 and I can buy a good shape 2510 for a 1000 more..... lots more tractor for little more price.
