How to tow gen. II syncros and quads.

Started working on another siezed top shaft today. I thought I should post this to save some of you three grand or so.
When you have to tow a Generation 2 or 3 series tractor put the shifter in the TOW position then the differential driveshaft is in neutral and the top shaft doesn't spin. Towing in low ranges can sieze the low speed gear to the shaft in less than a mile. I have had to cut top shafts out with a torch before. The top shaft is pressure lubricated and doesn't get enough oil when being towed.
