On my JD B the carb needs to be rebuilt. there is a nut missing on the bottom and the float is bent. This is my first restoration project. SHould I send it out to be rebuilt? Or should I do it myself?

Karl, if the threads are bad where that nut goes send it out, if the threads are ok get a how to rebuild DLTX tape from "Roberts Carb" & have at it. They aren't hard to go through & they are very expensive to send out. If it still isn't right after you do it yourself then you can send it out if you have to.
