Converting my 70D to live PTO?

My 70D is apart (pulley, clutch, first reduction gear cover all removed, rear axle housing split, differential out) to change the diff and replace some worn bearings in the PTO bevel gear assembly. While it's apart this far, I wonder if I could install the parts to change it from transmission-driven to live PTO? Has anyone done this? It looks like all the holes in the case are there. I wouldn't take the tractor this far apart to do it, but while I'm in there...

I haven't done it either, but a old JD mechanic, said he could install one in our 70Lp years ago.I'm sure all you need is the parts, they machined all those housing the same, because when they were machined nobody knew if it was ordered with a LPTO or not.
