I have a '29 JD/D with carb AD411R. All of a sudden it wants to squirt gas out of the small hole in the idle needle housing when I start it. As you know, that exhaust pipe is quite close and very impressive. I'd sure hate for that to ignite the gas!!!! What is the problem, stuck float???? Thanks.

Sounds to me that either the float is sticking or the needle which is mounted to the float arm is not seating. If you have the old cork float you should remove it, reshelac it. or replace it with a new float. Roberts Carb repair has the cork or brass float replacement. I know the DLTX-3 carb which you have came from the factory with a cork float. Robert has the gaskets and the floats for your carb. Robert also can rebuild and run test the carb for you you can find him at www.robertscarbrepair.com or call 712-262-5311
