Check out this book:

John Deere Model B Restoration Guide.

It is a very detailed book as to the history of the Model B and things to consider when restoring. It has a lot of pictures from the time the B came out and really says a lot about farm history. I am not advertising this, just bought it and think it is a great resource!

Karl.
I agree that it is a very good book, However, I found that it duplicated lots of information that I already had by re-printing most of the John Deere parts manual.. I think it would be a good source to a to anyone who did not have a parts or service manaul.
