i have a 49 model A that is not playing. Is there anyone in the bay area that would be willing to come to the farm (Fremont CA) and look it over/recommend whatever is necessary to get this old girl running in fine form again? obviously i don't expect that to be a freebie. thanks

As long as you have both spark and gas, the tractor'll run. Check to see if you've got fire at the plugs firstly, and also gas. If the plug's wet and black you've got gas but no spark. If the plugs dry and not too corroded you've got spark but no gas. Open the drain under the float bowl to see if the gas runs freely.
