Can someone tell me how many 2 cylinder 830 tractors were produced without power steering? I can't find any numbers anywhere about this. It would be interesting to know how many with electric start didn't have power steering, and how many pony starts didn't have power steering.

The data book says that 87% of 820's had power steering but says power steering was standard characteristics of 830's.So it may have been ordered without or could have been converted off a non PS 820.Who knows

Mike, I'll bet you hit the nail right on the head. I got this tractor from a guy who was the type to do something like that. I'll bet he changed over instead of buying repairs for the power steering. I've never seen a price book on the 830's. Was power steering an option on the 830's in the price book?

Are you sure some were made without power steering? I would think they were all made with power steering in that time era.

I have seen this 830 tractor that Shorty Dear is asking about, just two weeks ago. This 830 does not have a power steering unit on it as well as any lines or hook ups for power steering. He is asking a valid Question. This 830 steers fine once it is moving. He needs the info. Thank you

TB, No problem here. I just have this 830 without power steering, and I was trying to find out a little more about how many are around without power steering on them? It sure did surprise me to see that it didn't have it.
