There has been an ad in a local paper for the past year saying, "3030 John Deere, 100 HP, 2 Hyd,
Cab.
My John Deere salesman tells me to stay away and that it is probably a European tractor, tough to get parts.

What is this?

Thanks,
Mark

The 3030 was a Mannheim built tractor in the late 1970's. It had a 6 cyl engine rated at 86 engine hp. It was built for the European market. Hope this helps.

A 3030 Deere was never made. At first I thought it was a US number put on identical tractor marketed in Canada. The 2020 and it's diffent numbered US counterpart the 710 etc.

Is a 3030 a comparable tractor to a 4230? Is it a good tractor for a 3 bottom plow etc.

A 3030 is probaly 30 hp less. It is considered a utility tractor while a 4230 is a row crop model.
