Has anyone ever owned a JD or an Ingersoll? I need info on what to buy. I am looking at an Ingersoll 4020PS. That is almost $8,000! It has power steering, 20HP Onan engine, oil filter, 30" turning radius, rear PTO, 60" side mower. Or a John Deere 235. 18HP OHV engine, hydro, cruise ctrl, sector-and-pinion steering, 20" turning radius, PTO, 54" cutting width, almost $5,000.
I have mostly flat land, about 4 acres to cut. The Ingersoll goes 6.7mph, while the JD goes 6.6mph. Not to much of a difference. The tractor will also be used for hauling mulch, trees, water sprayer, and wood. I previously drive an Ingersoll 4016. That tractor breakes often. My neighbor has a JD 235, which breakes often too. Please respond. Thanks!!!
