I have a 1937 B with this size tire. Can these be purchased new(or used)? I talked with Tucker Tire and the closest they can come is 9.50x36.

Is 7.50 correct for this old tractor? If unavailable, will the 9.50's look ok?

It looks like I am going to sink at least $500 in tires for this old machine-is it worth it?
Thanks

According to my Model B Parts Catalog (Publication PC-330, for Serial No. 60000 and up, starting with the 1939 model year), there were several options for tire sizes. The book lists rims for 7.50-36, 9.00-36, 9.00-40, 8-38, 9-38, 10-38, 11-38, 9-42, 10-42, and 11-42 tires. All of these rims are listed for serial numbers beginning at 60000, the first styled tractor - I can only guess if these same rim/tire sizes were available on the unstyled tractors. Maybe someone else can help out?

I'm sure you are aware that tires sizes are identified in different terms these days. The old tire size referred to the rim width (10-38 was a 10" rim) - the same (or close) size tire these days is called an 11.2-38 (approximate), with the 11.2" referring to the overall tire width.

I may be wrong on the exact numbers, but the references are correct, I think.

These rims are about 6 1/2 inches inside. My reference is the John Deere Tractor Data Book by Dunning. If I don't find any new info soon I'll just buy the 9.50's. Thanks for your reply.
