A 730D/ES has caught my eye and I was hoping ya'll might be able to give some pointers on what to look for as far as common problems and a guesstimate on price range. Just from what I've seen of it the tin is in good shape, runs good, has three point and two remotes, good rubber all around, and two sets of wheel weights. I've heard that they were bad about breaking the crank on the flywheel side...are they? Thanks for the help.

I have had so many problems with mine I don't even know where to start. 1 Look for a taper lock flywheel. This is desirable, it has a big square nut on the outside. 2 watch out for knocking engines. usually main bearings on the diesel. 3 Smoking indicates need to rebuild the fuel system. This cost me around $850. Costly but worth the effort in power. They were worse to throw flywheels than to break cranks. This is why you need a taperlock flywheel. If you have any questions I would be glad to answer them. I am still glad I bought mine, I learned alot and have had much enjoyment now that it is completed!
