I have a chance to buy a 40 with what the owner says is a 'fried' motor. Where would I look for a motor and would any of the combine motors fit?

Have 4-cylinder engine from JD combine, turns over and holds water, mainly needs ignition system gone over. MAKE OFFER

I'm no expert, but I do have a JD 40 and a JD 30 combine. I can tell you that JD 30 combines use a four cylinder engine that I believe is the same as a JD 1010 tractor. However I am currently working on the engine of my JD 40 and they are real easy to work on. I guess it depends on what "fried" means.
